Looking to volunteer, but don't have the time to make a permanent commitment? Listed below are one-day volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups with the City of Tempe. All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application and register with the Volunteer Coordinator before participating.

Friday, Dec. 15; 4:30 - 9pm at Tempe Community Complex/Edna Vihel Center/Museum
Help the community enjoy the free, family-friendly holiday event. Volunteers will help with set-up and tear-down, activities such as writing letters to Santa, arts and crafts, etc.
Santa's Toy Shop & Carnival at Escalante Community Center - 25 Volunteers Needed - Sign Up!
Friday, Dec. 15; 3:30 - 7pm at Escalante Community Center
The event is a free, festive holiday carnival for the Escalante community. Volunteers will help with set-up and tear-down, run a variety of carnival style games, etc. There are volunteer opportunities beginning as early as noon on Friday to assist with set-up.
City of Tempe's MLK Diversity Awards Breakfast- 12 Volunteers Needed - Sign Up!
Monday, Jan. 8; 7 - 11 am at the Marriott Buttes Resort
The City of Tempe is looking for volunteers to assist with guest check-in and table assignments at the annual MLK Diversity Awards Breakfast.
Adapted Recreation Fabulous Friday Night Dance - 3 Volunteers Needed - Sign Up!
Friday, Jan. 12; 5:30 - 9:30pm at the Edna Vihel Activities Center
Tempe's Adapted Recreation Program is available for young adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Come dance the night away at one of the Fabulous Friday Night Dances. Volunteers will assist with set-up and tear-down, snack service, pictures and more.
Tempe Library Comicon - 25 Volunteers Needed - Sign Up!
Saturday, Jan. 27; 9am - 4pm at Tempe Community Complex/Tempe Public Library
Help the community enjoy the free, family-friendly comicon library literacy event. Volunteers will help with set-up and tear-down, welcome and information booth, activities, and more.
