Coming Summer 2018

Splash Play Ground Vector-ArtThe splash playground will be located near the north soccer field within Kiwanis Park. In February, the City Council approved $1.7 million for design and construction of the playground. The site selection criteria included existing parking availability, access to utilities, water and electrical, as well as proximity to existing restrooms and ADA accessibility.

The new playground will become Tempe’s only large water park amenity. Other, smaller splash pads are located throughout Tempe. Admission to any splash playground and splash pad in Tempe is free.

The City of Tempe hosted a community open house on Monday, March 13 at Kiwanis Park to hear from residents how they wanted to play and keep cool at the future Kiwanis Splash Playground. Residents could also comment online.
