Family Fun Factory returns Dec. 15 with art, activities, music and Santa
Experience the charm of Whoville by visiting Tempe’s annual Family Fun Factory. This free, family-friendly event will delight visitors of all ages from 6 - 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, within the Tempe Community Complex at 3340 S. Rural Rd. (southwest corner of Rural and Southern).
Family Fun Factory is a collaboration among Tempe’s recreation team and some of the city’s most popular arts and activities destinations including the Edna Vihel Activities Center, Kid Zone Enrichment Program, Kiwanis Recreation Center, Tempe History Museum and Tempe Public Library. This means more activities, experiences and holiday memories for you and your family. Here’s a preview of what you’ll experience:
Edna Vihel Art
Kick-start your holiday creativity with make-and-take art projects at the Edna Vihel Activities Center. While you’re there decorate cookies, write Letters to Santa and enjoy some hot cocoa.
Kid Zone snow-making
Kid Zone will engage guests with stimulating science projects, including making their very own snow, which are representative of the types of activities found within the Enrichment Program.
Music at the museum
The Sunpunchers will add extra jingle and joy to the night with a live performance at the Tempe History Museum.
Local choirs and a visit from Santa
Additional entertainment includes musical performances from local school choirs and community members and a visit from the jolliest old elf himself, Santa. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras to capture photos with Santa.
