Tempe pays tribute to veterans with annual parade on Friday, Nov. 10
Tempe will continue its long-standing, annual tradition of honoring all military veterans with a Veterans Day parade on Friday, Nov. 10. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at ASU Gammage and proceed north on Mill Ave., concluding at Tempe Beach Park, Mill Ave. and Rio Salado Pkwy.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the parade, the longest running in the Valley. Veterans Day parade participants include members of the Tempe City Council, various Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, local school marching bands, community members, veterans groups and many more. Volunteers from the Tempe Exchange Club and Great Weather will hand out thousands of small flags to children and veterans along the parade route.
Free parking is available in the lot at 5th Street and Farmer or in the parking garage next to City Hall.
